Intro
Welcome aboard the TSJ CruisePod โ your journey beyond the waves.
I’m your host, Thomas Sebastian Jensen, and today’s episode marks something special - the final chapter of our winter voyage aboard the MSC Euribia.
After exploring so many incredible ports, it’s time to slow down, take a deep breath, and look back on what life was like between those destinations - the sea days.
Life on Board
When the ship isn’t docked, life on board truly begins.
Many people wonder what you can possibly do on a sea day. But once you’ve experienced it, you realize that time at sea passes faster than you’d think - sometimes, almost too fast.
One of the highlights for many guests is the evening program at the Delphi Theatre.
Each night, three big shows take place - at seven, eight-thirty, and a quarter to ten.
Reservations can be made through the MSC app or on the ship’s touch screens, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to attend.
The system works remarkably well: seats are filled, but the theater never feels overcrowded.
And the shows?
They’re dazzling. Acrobats performing gravity-defying stunts, singers with powerful voices, and dance ensembles bursting with color and energy.
It’s the perfect ending to a day at sea - entertainment that reminds you just how international the world of cruising has become.
During the day, the rhythm on board is more relaxed.
Compared to my world cruise on the MSC Poesia, where multi-day workshops like painting and calligraphy filled the schedule, the winter voyage on the Euribia offered shorter, lighter activities.
Darts, mini golf, basketball, or even handball - you could simply drop in, join the fun, and meet new people.
One of the most popular events was the daily quiz.
Each day brought a new theme - from geography and history to music, movies, or science.
Winning wasn’t the point.
The real joy came from laughing together, guessing answers, and striking up conversations with fellow travelers from around the world.
There were also some more unusual experiences - like having your iris photographed.
In just a few minutes, you could receive a digital image or a printed version mailed home after the cruise.
It wasn’t cheap, but the result was stunning - a reminder that even our eyes tell a story of individuality and beauty.
Of course, life on board wasn’t only about shows or activities.
Sometimes, the best moments were the quiet ones.
A walk on deck, a coffee in one of the lounges, or simply sitting by the window watching the endless expanse of the ocean.
Even in winter, there were sunny days when you could sit outside, feel the sea breeze, and listen to nothing but the rhythm of the waves.
The daily program helped keep everything organized.
Delivered each evening to your cabin, it listed every show, game, class, and lecture for the following day.
From early morning stretching sessions to karaoke nights after midnight - there was something for everyone.
And that’s what makes a cruise so special: you decide how your day unfolds.
You can be active and social - or simply let time drift by, one wave at a time.
Style and Atmosphere
Life on board also follows its own rhythm of elegance and comfort.
While swimwear is perfect for the pool deck, it’s not suitable for restaurants.
In the evenings, the dress code shifts to “smart casual”, and on gala nights, guests love to dress up - a chance to add a touch of glamour to life at sea.
Men in suits or jackets, women in elegant dresses - it’s a reminder that cruising still carries a certain timeless charm.
And for those who prefer something more relaxed, the buffet restaurant always offers a casual alternative.
Themed nights like White Night, Flower Power, or Italian Night add color and fun, giving everyone the excuse to celebrate, dance, and enjoy the unique spirit that only a ship can create.
Reflection
Looking back, it’s remarkable how quickly this voyage passed.
From the frozen canals of Bruges to the sunlit cliffs of Madeira, from the bustle of Casablanca to the calm of Southampton - every stop had its own heartbeat.
But the sea days in between were what tied it all together.
They gave us space to breathe, to reflect, and to connect - not just with others, but with ourselves.
It’s in those moments of stillness, somewhere between two horizons, that you realize why people fall in love with cruising.
Because it’s not just travel. It’s a rhythm, a way of life.
Outro
And so, our winter voyage aboard the MSC Euribia comes to an end.
Twelve ports, countless impressions, and memories that will stay long after the ship has docked.
From morning coffees on deck to star-filled nights at sea - every moment has been a reminder of how vast and beautiful the world truly is.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
For listening, for traveling along in spirit, and for sharing this adventure beyond the waves.
This may be the end of this voyage, but not of the story.
Because as long as there’s an ocean to cross, there will always be new journeys to tell.
Until we sail again - stay curious, and keep your heart open to the sea.
